Garnet & 18ct Red Gold Ring

A stunning Pyrope Garnet, 10 x 8mm faceted oval set in a rub-over setting in a full bodied shank made in 18ct red gold. Red gold has more copper content giving a lovely, rich colour. The name Garnet is believed to have come from the latin ‘seed’, likened to the pomegranate seed. It is said to have properties of vitality and regeneration.
